      Yes! Pluto, for example, was previously considered a planet but has been ‘demoted’ to dwarf planet. It still orbits our Sun, though, so it is part of the solar system. There are other dwarf planets here too – such as Ceres and Sedna, for example. Some astronomers argue that there are as many as 200 objects orbiting the sun that could be classified as dwarf planets!
