Lots of people! Disease is not just about having infections (but think for a moment about how many people you might know who have a cold at the moment!) A lot of adults have chronic (long-term) diseases like essential hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes (high blood sugar), or osteoarthritis (joint wear and tear).

Most people you know probably have at least one disease of some type even if it isn’t a disease you can catch.
