      In theory, yes. We have already managed to clone some animals, such as mice and even sheep. Some scientists have even managed to create human embryos in a test tube through cloning, but it is highly illegal to actually try to turn these embryos into fully developed humans.

      This is partly because the technology is not advanced enough to guarantee that something won’t go wrong during the whole process – even in animal cloning it takes quite a few attempts before a clone is successfully born, and it can get really sick really quickly. We wouldn’t want that to happen to a human!

      It is also partly because there are some serious ethical implications around how human clones would be treated by other people who came to be through ‘normal’ means.
