We grow because our cells keep on dividing, making more cells to make you bigger! This process slows down as we get older, which is why we see the most dramatic growth in newborns, but parts of our body are constantly getting replaced by new cells as the old ones die – such as red blood cells, skin cells or the cells inside your stomach for example!
