      My answer to this one might not be the one you expect!

      Leg bones like the femur are immensely strong at putting up with daily forces associated with walking, running, and jumping but I think the strongest is the petrous part of the temporal bone. This is part of the skull where you inner ear is. It’s called petrous after the Latin word “petra” which means”rock” and is a very dense and strong bone. Archaeologists who dig up bones often find that the petrous part of the temporal bone is the last thing to be broken down if somebody is buried in the ground for a long time.
