Why not? Anything is possible and scientists never give up. Realistically, the main trouble is that we need to create an environment at moon like what we have at earth like oxygen and water (for example) which is essential for our survival. If we can generate enough resources to do such creation in enough quantity then we can definitely live on the Moon. However, sadly though, we will be living there like just like living in trapped cage!!! And therefore, as the dragons say in Dragon’s Den – I AM OUT 🙂

We have been living on the moon..although for brief period and in a spacesuit. Spacemissions and moon “trips” are conducted by international space agencies . However, if you talk about living and establishing a colony and growing crops in Moon and walk freely without a spacesuit, that is not possible at the moment.
Moon’s gravity is much less than Earth’s gravity (gravity is that thing which makes the apple fall down and not go up. Basically gravity is a force that pulls you down). So a weak gravity on moon implies that it is not strong enough to retain gases such as oxygen that we need for survival.
