      I looked up the answer to this one and several good sources tell me it is about 864,400 miles across. In terms of volume, you could fit more than 1 million Earths inside the Sun.

      To put this into perspective, walking around the middle of the sun would be the same distance as walking the entire length of the UK, Land’s End and John O’Groats, over 6000 times!
