      If I knew that, I would probably be a computer scientist, not a biologist! From my point of view, all I need to know is that they require electricity to work, they require programs to carry out different things, as well as an operating system that runs all these programs. The finer details of exactly how my inputs are carried through to whatever outputs I request are beyond me, though.
