      Your retina is the layer of cells at the back of your eye. It is full of cells(called rods and cones) that can detect light and colour, and convert these signals into electrical signals that get sent to your brain via your optic nerve. Your brain then processes these signals to allow us to see things – so really, we see with our brain, not with our eyes!
