      I spent about half a year and a lot of computing resources on trying to get some meaningful results out of my data. In doing so, I managed to slow the whole univeristy-wide computing system down to a crawl (due to a bug in my computer code) and I was banned for a few weeks.

      I fixed the issue, got un-banned, and a few months later finally had my results – only to find that I had used the wrong input files so all the results were nonsense and I had to start the whole thing over again.

      This means I now need to wait another few months to get the results, but at least I fixed that bug and learned a lot about how supercomputers work in the process!
