• Question: Why is it hot in summer and cold in winter?

      Because Earth is further from the Sun in winter (on this hemisphere, anyway) so the sun’s angle hits us differently and for a shorter amount of time.

      On the southern hemisphere, however, it is hot during (our) winter and cold during (our) winter!
