Mercury is a highly dense metal and in its liquid and gas form, it is highly poisonous. If you inhale or ingest it, you risk damaging the membranes of brain, nervous system, kidneys or liver. It can cause multiple effects ranging from eye irritation, vomiting to serious damages at DNA level.
