      Hi there,

It is not the sugar but the quantity of the sugar that you eat is bad for you.
When sugar enters your body, it is converted into glucose. Now glucose is really important because it can be converted quickly and easily to ATP which our body uses for energy.
So if you have too much of sugar, what does it mean? It means too much sugar leads to energy surpluses and if the body does not use it, it will store it as fat and other side effects. So, in short a high dose of sugar is really bad and your doctor can advise you more on this.
